Aqua babies takes the plunge in Cheshire

20 Nov 2012

AQUA Babies, the most long-established provider of baby-swimming classes in the north west, is planning a major expansion.

After operating for more than 13 years across Greater Manchester, the Trafford company has now set its sights on Cheshire.

“Despite four years of recession, mums and dads have continued to bring their children to us for our swimming courses because they understand the value in terms of health and safety,” said founder and director Wendy Edmondson.

“We believe there will be equal demand for the quality service we provide right across Cheshire, so we are currently identifying and investing in suitable locations for Aqua Babies classes within the county.”

Aqua Babies have a nine-strong team of teachers who currently run baby-swim classes across Greater Manchester, using swimming pools in the city centre and beyond. The company, which has its HQ in Sale Moor, also has its own swimming pool in Altrincham.

“We must have taught thousands of Greater Manchester babies to swim since we launched the business,” added Wendy, a former teacher who decided to swap the classroom for the swimming pool in 1999.

“Yet the demand for our service is as strong as ever despite the economic challenges. Mums and Dads will always want to equip their children for life and they know our baby-swim lessons offer great value. They also love the experience of physically helping their baby become confidant in the water.”
