The Birches Specialist Support Primary School has a beautiful 7m x 5m Hydrotherapy pool which is ideal for babies and toddlers.
The water is always at a welcoming 33-35˚C in temperature and is a comfortable 1.2m deep – just under chest height on a 5’2” person.
The steps are especially easy and safe to descend while holding baby and there is also some poolside viewing – it’s very warm so we suggest that you wear something light, like a t-shirt!
You will be welcomed at reception by a member of our team.
On entering the changing area, shoes should be left by the first bench. This helps to keep the changing rooms and pool floors clean. There are three large curtained changing areas, the first designated male and the next two female. Each changing area has beds with room to change several babies, and plenty of floor space if you prefer to change your wriggly baby on a changing mat! There is a toilet and a shower and also a playpen to keep babies and toddlers safe while you change.
Aqua Babies has been privileged to use this specialist school’s facilities for over 14 years. The money raised from our pool hire helps keep the facilities in top condition for the children at the school.
